  • Coaching skills training

    Coaching workshops

We have a proven track record in training people at all organisational levels from a wide variety of organisations in coaching skills. The way we do this is different to the majority of workshops and courses. We deliver our workshops to meet your organisational needs whilst providing exciting and engaging means of delivery. Our workshops are delivered with a combination of classroom and outdoor activities. We teach the principles of coaching whilst developing practical skills through a variety of means including: target golf across our pond; archery; axe throwing and many others.

All coaching workshops are developed in partnership with you to ensure that skills continue to develop long after your time with us. Workshops are normally delivered over one, two or three days.

    Coaching

Our team of highly qualified and experienced Master Coaches have worked with individuals and groups from small Third Sector organisations to large multi-national companies and public sector bodies. We price sessions according to the organisation size and status which means that even the smallest Third Sector groups can afford support from some of the best coaches around.

“Anita changed my life – her insight to how I delivered as a CEO has put me on a sound footing that has increased my confidence and assisted me in reaching goals I didn’t think I could reach.
She is encouraging and supportive – I now work more effectively and trust my decision making more as a result.” Ruth Gould, CEO – Dadafest

  • Communications skills

Our approach to communication skills workshops is a little different. There are lots of workshops and courses aimed at being a better speaker and presenter. Our workshops aim to help you to become a better listener, to help you to encourage people to share information and to create an environment where working relationships thrive. Our workshops are also ideal to help those who work with people with neurodiverse conditions, learning difficulties and/or mental health conditions. Throughout this workshop you will be engaging with and handling birds of prey so this course is not suitable for anyone with a fear of birds, feathers or with a bird phobia.

We also run workshops aimed at improving the communication of teams especially those who are new to working together. All workshops are designed in partnership with you and facilitate the continuation of staff development long after your time with us has concluded. In other words, we will give you the tools to ensure that the outcomes achieved within our workshops properly transfer to the workplace.

  • Woodland walk with Owls

With a maximum group of 10 participants we walk though Cheshire Outdoors’ 15-acre private woodlands taking in the flora and fauna found there. We create an awareness of our surroundings focusing on the sounds of the woodland including bird song, the movement of trees and the rustling of animals. We look for and identify the variety of birds that accompany us on our journey. We take in the variety of colours all around us, recognising the beauty of nature. We notice the feel of the ground under our feet and the textures of leaves and bark. We also become aware of the smell of the forest, the earthy fragrances and the subtle aromas of the trees and the ground. We do all of this whilst flying a beautiful owl and experiencing handling it in a natural environment.

The session is tailored to the needs of participants and takes up to 2 hours depending on agreed outcomes and numbers of participants.

Spending time in nature whilst engaging in mindfulness activities has been proven to impact on mental health and wellbeing including in those with chronic and enduring mental health conditions. For people who work in stressful jobs such as Blue Light careers these sessions can reduce stress and contribute to a reduction in burnout symptoms. Our own research suggests that the impact of these sessions is sustained long after the session has concluded.

  • Team building

    Team building Activities

We offer a wealth of team building activities that encourage participants to work collaboratively and think differently. We do this in the natural environment, often in our private woodlands, which impacts on well being whilst developing a true team ethos. Everything is tailored to the needs of individuals, teams, and organisation. We will work with you to develop activities that result in the outcomes required.

Activities include: Bushcraft skills such as den building, fire lighting, campfire cooking etc.; tracking using telemetry – an everyday skill required by our falconry team to track lost birds; archery; axe throwing; woodland management; bird box building, conservation activities and falconry.

    Fun, fun fun!

In partnership with Cheshire Falconry and Cheshire Outdoors we also run staff away days aimed at having fun, building effective work relationships and impacting on everyone’s wellbeing. Our fun days also help to reinforce your reputation as a nice place to work. We design your fun day in partnership with you and ensure that everyone has a great time. Activities can include : archery; tag archery; human table football; zorbing; axe throwing; bushcraft; den building; conservation activities; segway, woodland walks and of course falconry!

  • Meetings

    Meetings

In partnership with Cheshire Falconry and Cheshire Outdoors we provide the ideal venue for your meetings. Whether it is an ad hoc meeting such as strategic planning or it’s a regular SMT monthly review, we can help your meeting run smoothly and efficiently by providing you with an exceptional environment, a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food provided by our chosen catering partners. We are able to provide you with all of your technology needs within a rustic setting. In addition, we can provide you with activities to switch off during breaks. The frustration of agreeing budgets or forecasting sales in a challenging economic environment may benefit from a bit of axe throwing during your coffee break. Flying an eagle may just inspire you to new heights. We will work with you to ensure that your meeting goes to plan with or without additional activities. If you just want a venue that is environmentally friendly and a bit different, we are happy to help.
