This is Murray. Murray is a Burrowing Owl. Murray is cared for by Anita. Murray is the smallest Owl at Cheshire Falconry. Murray often visits children in school, in hospital and sometimes when they are very poorly, in hospices. When he’s not doing that he sits on his perch on the lawn with the other Birds of Prey. Murray the Smallest Owl is a wonderfully charming story that introduces children and adults alike to Birds of Prey, complete with facts, figures, and stunning photographs of birds, such as the Peregrine Falcon, the White Tailed Sea Eagle, the Eurasian Eagle Owl, the Harris Hawk and, of course, the Burrowing Owl. Every day the falconry team take the birds one at a time to the flying arena to fly around and meet visitors. When Murray the burrowing Owl is bullied by the other birds at the falconry, he is left feeling very unhappy, can anyone help Murray feel better? The book helps children to accept that being different is OK and helps children to recognise their own individual talents through activity pages.
